With a good mood to a good mood. We always had this feeling when we were in a good mood. At least this was still true when the old owners ran the inn. Over the years, however, everything decreases a little. Of course ... the quiet location and the rustic or cozy atmosphere still characterize the overall picture and the menu on offer can be seen both in terms of cuisine and prices. But unfortunately more and more negative aspects shape the once so popular inn. At larger family celebrations you can clearly see that the service has to suffer. The staff is not designed to adequately serve two guest rooms and one hall. So it happens more and more often that the service staff rush from table to table. There are incorrect orders and mix-ups. If a larger party is scheduled, extra staff are usually assigned who explicitly take care of said clientele. In the same way, I think, it should be in rural areas when the landlord or, in this case, the landlady shows herself to her guests. Especially when birthdays are coming up, the service is taken over by the management or the company is personally received by them as an attention. You can clearly see the staff shortage here and as a paying guest I don't expect to see it. I expect an organized and structured approach when serving the guest. This includes that the guest does not have to wait minutes to be approached by the cellar to place an order. My next major criticism relates to the preparation of the food. The portions are generous, but the focus here is more on quantity than quality. Some of the (frozen) vegetables were still frozen or not quite through. The same applies to meat which was apparently only half-heartedly prepared. It is also advisable to order the salt shaker as well, because savings were made on all dishes. Some orders had to be declined by the staff with a standard apology because certain products are out of stock. This means that you can only make limited use of the card's offer. Speaking of the menu ... the dessert menu just refers to four different standard ice cream cups which you could order back in GDR times. Time has obviously stood still here. There is a lack of fresh ideas both in the menu and in the ambience. The sanitary facilities are always clean and there is enough soap and paper, but when you enter the toilet you have the feeling of traveling back in time. Everything looks the same as it did 20 years ago. Little or nothing was invested in a contemporary renovation. Sure ... it is precisely the rustic charm of the good mood that sets it apart. Nevertheless, it couldn't hurt to invest something in 2020 and keep up with the times. All in all, the good mood is always worth a visit. The food tastes good and is affordable. The few staff that are there are friendly and usually ask for competent service. Perhaps when you are in a good mood you will take on my constructive criticism and turn some of the points into a positive one. Then I would be in a good mood again in a completely good mood. ADDENDUM: The staff did not adhere to the generally applicable mask requirement during our stay. The prescribed minimum distance was also not observed. I can only hope that these problems will be resolved on my next visit. After all, the well-being and health of the guest should come first.

If you are not in a good mood on vacation, you will get it at the latest when you visit this inn. The service very friendly and attentive. The space inside is not used, the beer garden outside is very cozy. The food, whether vegetarian or meat-heavy, was plentiful and very tasty. The dessert rounded off the whole thing successfully. The price was very cheap for performance. Thank you again, we would love to come back.

Delicious food with the whole family. The pork neck steak was a bit mixed, but everything else was good. Especially the nice waitresses and the child / family friendly garden were great. With a swing, slide, sandpit and guinea pig.

First class, very friendly service. Although we did not have any cash with us and card payment is not possible, we were offered from the start to simply pay the invoice later by bank transfer. This trust is great and cannot be taken for granted! The portions are large, the food is home-style and delicious. In addition to the regular menu, there are also some seasonal dishes. Vegetarians and children will also find something on the menu here.

The restaurant would be used for a wedding. The restaurant itself is getting a bit old but it is all clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly helpful. For the children there is a small outdoor playground with swing and slide. Around the restaurant are on two sides fields, which is why it is very quiet. Overnight stays are also offered.
